Wednscday the 23th May, tasting of sparklings including our Garganega sui Lieviti 2011, at Taverna Zaccaria in Genoa.
Menti Giovanni is a family firm founded at the end of XIX century. The founder, Menti Giovanni who was the grandfather of the actual owner (also his name is Giovanni) started the business with the wine he was producing for his own consumption.
Nowadays the firm is cultivating 7,5 ha of garganega and durella vines in Gambellara and Lessini classic hilly area. From these fruits are produced white dry wines and also some sweet wines from resin fruits.
All works are managed directly by company team, from taking care of the vines to the bottling process (sparkling process included); all wines are obtained with the maximum respect of nature and of Italian traditions, and are closed by natural cork of the highest quality and are dressed in elegant labels.
During the year 2007 the company was successfully certified ISO 9001:2000, another step how to develop the level of quality system.
All these wines have been included in the best Italian wine guides for many years, and have been distributed to important Italian restaurants, to European and American importers and private wine lovers.
